Come along and find out about our volunteer program.
In 2024 our team completed 50 tasks including:
Veteran transport to medical appointments
Shopping trips
Airport transfers
Back yard blitz (15+ clean ups for Veterans, war widows and current serving)
Spring cleans
Cyclone repairs
and much more!
Join an exciting and vibrant team that does everything from historical research to clean-ups.
Work at your own pace and in your own space.
Free First Aid training and everyone gets a volunteer shirt and hat.
Choose the session that suits you best:
1030 session | tea, coffee & scones provided
1730 session | nibbles & drinks provided

Last Friday of the Month* being February, March, May, June, July, August, September, October & November 2025
1300 for 1330 | Digger's Lunch in the Atrium (ground floor)
1500 | RV Arvos in the RV Lounge (ground floor, to the left of Spectator's Sports Bar)
Under the new umbrella brand of the "Last Friday Catch Up", these events are held for our Veteran community on the last Friday of the month each year.
It's a great opportunity for Veterans (current and ex-serving) to meet each other, network and find support. They can come to one or both sessions each month.

*Excluded months are January, April (Anzac Day) and December.
townsville rsl adventures
free sailing class
Sunday 2nd March 2025 | 0900-1200
Experience an introduction to sailing class - FREE - as part of our Townsville RSL Adventures, available to Veterans and members of the Townsville RSL and Thuringowa RSL Club.
Limited to 20 spots. We suggest you get in quick as this event has booked out quickly in the past.
Must be 7 years or older, have good physical dexterity and be water confident.
The sailing club canteen will be open for lunch and drinks. Toilets are available.
Club racing is on the same afternoon if you want to stay and watch.
Open to Townsville RSL and Thuringowa RSL Club members with priority given to Veterans and their families.
Location is at the Break Water Marina, 3 Mariners Drive.
