Library
The Townsville Returned Services League Library houses an extensive collection of resources specialising in Australian military history. The collection is predominantly non-fiction and includes official histories, military memoirs and battalion histories. A small selection of children's military themed books are also available for loan. Persons under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
Donations
The library welcomes donations of personal histories, books and DVDs of relevant local and Australian military history. Donated items become the property of the Townsville RSL Sub-Branch and may be added to the collection or gifted to other organisations at the discretion of the librarian.
Opening Hours
The library is open from Monday to Friday, from 10am to 4pm.
A librarian is available on Monday and Friday from 10am to 2:30pm to assist with difficult search queries, including family military histories.
On occasions the library is unavailable due to meetings, therefore if you are travelling from a distance, please contact the RSL to check availability. The library is closed on weekends and public holidays.

Library Borrowings
The library is open to members, students and researchers. Non-members of the RSL must sign in as a visitor and abide by the liquor licensing provisions. Members may borrow items for upwards of three weeks, with extensions allowed. A small number of reference items are only available for perusal within the library and are not for loan.
